Lee’s Landscape News
Lets take a look at a recently completed commercial landscape. Our local Pizza Hut is revamping it’s design and menu to an Italian Bistro style. Lush landscaped beds are a major part of this design.
A weeping pine provides an interesting focal point to the right of the entrance.

A mixed planting of perennials and blue fescue will develop into a colorful groundcover.
Upright pyramidal boxwoods will lend a more formal look to the entryway.
A globe blue spruce anchors the side planting.
Some larger hostas bring a cool feeling beneath the pergola.
Knock out roses and coreopsis will soon provide waves of color under this east facing pergola, while the boxwoods will help define the curve of the bed.
From a distance the effect of an italian garden is complete
Near the entry a new type of coneflower,Echinacea x 'Sunrise', will spark conversation among gardeners. Richard Saul from Itsaul Nursery in Atlanta spent years crossing Echinacea purpurea and Echinacea paradoxa. The Big Sky series is the result of his efforts. These coneflower hybrids bring new colors to the familiar coneflower. 'Sunrise' has large butter yellow flowers with slightly overlapping petals.
