Creeping PhloxStill looking back at some spring blooms. Mounds of this early sping blooming groundcover will creep outward over the years. Creeping phlox is best purchased in spring for nice vigorous plants. At least that's the way it is at our garden center. I've had difficulty in keeping nice looking plants going in containers through summer. But that may also be because the best plants have disappeared during early spring sales. Once planted, Phlox subulata is easy to establish in full sun with The local landscapes feature this plant on slopes and softening the edges of walls.
