EMERALD ASH BORER

An update on the Emerald Ash Borer situation.  The affected area now is in excess of 40,000 square miles with around 20 million ash trees killed by EAB.  Emerald Ash Borer has already been detected in a quarter of Ohio's counties.   The Ohio Department of Agriculture has designated 10,000 ash detection trees.  It is likely as ODA continues removal and peeling of these ash detection trees additional EABs will be found.

Quarantine boundaries will change with these new borer finds.  You may want to familiarize yourself with regulations and community impact.
