Lee Goins - Garden Center Manager "My job crosses all boundaries of the business. I've managed the garden center since it's opening and set up our office, worked landscape jobs, designed customer gardens; I am an OCNT (Ohio Certified Nursery Technician) and I am a licensed Ohio pesticide applicator. I purchase plants and materials for both the garden center and our landscape operation. Many Shelby County ornamental horticulture questions find their way to me and though I may not have an immediate answer, I love learning new things and I quickly find the information needed using a few well worn books and internet resources. I am always looking for ways to improve the experience of visiting our garden center with music, changing inventory, and display gardens; I'm also the webmaster for this and other sites and I hope to eventually bring our fun garden center experience to these pages...but ultimately my job is about people; customers, employees, and vendors. I look forward talking to all of you on great spring days!"
Ann Fritts - Garden Center Associate
Annabelle too has been with us since our first year. She knows her gardening, she is patient, tireless, and our customers love her; wondering where she is on her days off. Ann is particularly good at custom potting of mixed annuals and perennials and she eagerly eyes each delivery of new plants with that in mind. She genuinely loves plants and people and has become a special part of "the garden center experience"
Karen Kersey - Garden Center Associate Karen joined us in 2002 and has been yet another positive for the garden center. Starting working primarily as a plant care technician, she was quick to learn the differing needs of the plants and helped maintain our reputation of having high quality plants. Like Ann, she now also helps customers, works in our gardens, and even loads bulk mulch with our loaders.
Rose Goins - Office / Garden Center Associate
Rose has been with us for several years now. She primarily works in the office, but will also be found running the register, assisting customers, or watering plants on a hot day. She is always a friendly, courteous element and she is likely the first voice you will hear if you call us. If she isn't here during the season, she is either with her grandchildren or shopping.
